Weld Forming Process Engineer
We are seeking a Weld &Forming Process Engineer to support an electrical / electronicmanufacturing company in Ripon WI.
This is anonsite role and relocation assistance is available.
Job Summary :
The Weld and Forming ProcessEngineer will be responsible for engineering matters related toplanning managing and maintaining production methods for formingand weld equipment (laser plasma resistance welds will be thefocus).
KeyResponsibilities :
- Examineequipment processes operations and procedures to identifyimprovement opportunities in areas of safety quality throughput andcost.
- Implementchanges and modify operationstandards.
- Evaluatevendor proposals for new equipmentpurchases.
- Select& implement suitable manufacturing processes and applymodern organizational principles to make products at a competitivecost.
- Identify& optimize current and new manufacturing processes usingcontinuousimprovement.
- Workclosely with production and maintenance to ensure equipment isoperating in a likenewcondition.
- ConductCapability Studies and perform TimeStudies.
- ProcessDevelopment may include Visual WorkInstructions.
- Productionsupport and processtroubleshooting.
- Cost(scrap rework cycle time etc.)reduction.
- Specifytools jigs andfixtures.
- Projectcoordination and dailytroubleshooting.
- Participatein Kaizenevents.
Requirements
Education :
BS inMaterial Science Mechanical Welding Manufacturing or IndustrialEngineering or combined relatedexperience
Required :
- 24 yearsengineering project experience in metal manufacturing.
- Experiencein Lean manufacturing techniques capability studies process mappingFMEA and root causeanalysis.
- Qualifiedto take a project lead role and comfortable in a fastmovingcontinuous improvementculture.
- Excellentverbal and written communicationskills.
- Abilityto manage multiple tasks with aggressivedeadlines.
- Detailorientated and can understand complex processinteractions.
- Computerliterate with proficiency in MicrosoftOffice.
Preferred :
Firmknowledge of Creo & AutoCAD.

Required : 2-4 yearsengineering project experience in metal manufacturing. Experiencein Lean manufacturing techniques, capability studies, processmapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
