Physical Sciences Laboratories (PSL) supports the effective and timely development and operation of national security systems through scientific research and the application of advanced technologies. PSL has more than 150 specialized laboratories used to test, analyze, and troubleshoot virtually every aspect of rocket and satellite system design, development, construction, deployment, and operation. The expertise of the laboratories' technical staff allows PSL to stay abreast of new technological developments and program support issues associated with rapidly evolving space systems. The Photonics Technology Department develops technology and provides expertise in a wide variety of areas involving lasers and light, including lidar, laser communication, integrated photonics, atomic clocks, and laser-induced radiation and directed energy effects. These technologies are integral to many National Security Space applications and are becoming more widespread as they mature. We are seeking a Section Manager in Photonics Technology to lead a group working in several of these technology areas, helping to define Aerospace's strategy and investments to keep us on the cutting edge and providing our customers with the best expertise available. The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in El Segundo, CA.
