About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : 3+ years of RN ICU experience

License : CA RN License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH

Must-Have :

• Previous charge experience preferred
• Experience with patient ratios of 2 : 1
• Charting system experience required

Description : RN ICU / CPU needed.

Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and NIH.

Weekend requirements are every other weekend and as needed.

On-call duties may be required as needed.

Travel nursing candidates must be flexible to float to other units within the scope of practice.

May float to other campuses depending on need and census.

Travelers can anticipate a notice of 1.5 hours prior to shift start in most cases.

A shuttle is provided if floating is requested.

Interdisciplinary support available includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.

Patient diagnoses in the unit include sepsis, AKI, respiratory failure, STEMI, heart failure, stroke, surgical, kidney failure, and cardiogenic shock.

Special procedures performed include open-heart surgery, VAT, thoracotomy, TAVR, and ECMO.

Patient care expectations include management of ventilated patients and care of patients on ECMO.

Important skills include blood product administration, phlebotomy, central line care, and ventilator management.
