Assistant General Manager - Aqua-Tots Swim School – Lexington
Full-Time | $40,000-45,000 / year | Health Benefits | PTO | Leadership Opportunity
Are you a dynamic leader who's passionate about people, service, and creating positive, high-energy environments? Aqua-Tots Swim School in Lexington is looking for a dedicated Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead our school with excellence.
As AGM, you'll partner closely with the General Manager to ensure that our school delivers consistent, high-quality swim instruction and a top-tier customer experience in a fun, safe, and team-oriented environment. JOB SUMMARY : The Assistant General Manager position consists of leading and managing all school staff in upholding the Aqua-Tots Swim School Core Values and brand standards. Our mission is to provide customers with consistent, quality swimming lessons that adhere to the Aqua-Tots Curriculum Standards and provide excellent customer service in a safe and welcoming environment.

Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and motivate staff to embody our Core Values and uphold brand standardsSupport hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling of team membersOversee team performance and support growth with ongoing feedback and developmentFoster a positive, team-first culture through regular meetings, coaching sessions, and team-buildingCustomer Experience & Sales
Drive exceptional customer service and lead the team in meaningful guest interactionsEducate families on our swim programs and help them choose the best-fit lesson planTrack sales metrics and implement sales goals and incentive programsManage class schedules in partnership with the General ManagerSupport families through any service concerns or special requestsOperations & Oversight
Ensure the school maintains high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalismReview incident reports and implement action plans when necessaryPartner with the GM to manage the school budget and franchise reportingParticipate in grassroots marketing efforts and coordinate with local marketing supportAREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Ensure that all staff adhere to the Aqua-Tots Core Values during all staff and customer interactions.Maintain a high level of customer engagement and ensure overall customer satisfaction by Creating the Aqua-Tots ExperienceEnsure overall school safety for staff and customersEducate customers in the Aqua-Tots ‘Learn to Swim’ programSell swim lessons to meet the needs of customersOversee the customer experience with technology platformsOversee Front Desk staff in the tracking and converting of all leadsOversee the Front Desk in responding to customer service concerns and handling any escalated issuesFollow up with customer withdrawalsEnsure all staff maintain Aqua-Tots quality and consistency in providing excellent lessons, customer service, and a clean facilityImplement sales goal incentive plan for all staff as determined by General ManagerAssist in researching labor projections and determining hiring needsAssist in the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of all staffAssist in keeping training platform in order / clean (staff profiles, training completion, reporting)Oversee the leadership development and growth of the Front Desk and Aquatic staffsAssist in quarterly and annual reviews with all staffAssist in ensuring all staff certifications are properly documented and currentAssist in schedules, attendance, and shift coverage for all staffUphold uniform expectations for each positionBuild a team environment and promote the Aqua-Tots culture amongst all staff
Assist in leading and planning monthly in-service meetingsPlan and hold quarterly team-building activitiesEnsure the interior and exterior of the facility adhere to the brand standard in overall appearanceEnsure the pool, pump room, and pool environment adhere to the Aqua-Tots brand standard in overall appearance, safety, and cleanlinessReview all incident reports and take appropriate action when necessaryCarry out any other tasks to support team objectives that are assigned by your leadership as requiredREPORTS TO

Bachelor’s degreeValid Driver’s LicenseReliable transportationEligible to work in the U.S.Open availability2-3 years of management experienceCustomer service skillsAdministrative skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong report, writing, and presentation skillsOrganized, detail-oriented, and energized by multi-taskingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
