JOB SUMMARY :

We are seeking a skilled System Controls Technician to support the testing and troubleshooting of control systems used in commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our systems meet performance, safety, and quality standards before they reach customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Understand electrical theory and practice as applied to the operation of components such as electric motors, motor starters, contractors, control relays, time delay relays, circuit breakers, and other related electrical, pneumatic and mechanical components.
• Apply trade knowledge and experience to recognize errors or potential problems with schematics, assembly drawings, parts lists or instructions.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls-related issues on assembled HVAC equipment.
• Inspect and / or repair jobs.
• Prepare list of parts to be replaced or repaired.
• Performs troubleshooting as necessary on parts or subassemblies to identify and resolve problems.
• Program and test PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and actuators used in HVAC control applications.
• Perform functional testing and quality assurance checks on control systems before shipping.
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, UL / ETL standards, and manufacturing best practices.
• Maintain detailed records of configuration settings, test results, and system modifications.
• Support the design and testing of new product prototypes and control panels.
