What You'll Do :

Provide customer service to clients and residents by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the shelter environment.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a secure environment.

Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.

Collaborate with shelter staff and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and support the overall operations of the location.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.

Assist in controlling access to the shelter by monitoring entrances and verifying the credentials of visitors and residents as needed.

Minimum Requirements :

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
