About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Hardware & Manufacturing team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing mechanical components and systems for robotic applications for our autonomous robots.

You will report directly to the Leader of the Hardware & Manufacturing Department and collaborate closely with the Advanced Robotics team. This is a unique opportunity to work within a cutting-edge technology startup and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art robotic technologies.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and testing mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for robotic platforms.
• Creating detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications using CAD software (SolidWorks).
• Supporting the integration of mechanical systems with electronic and software components.
• Troubleshooting and debugging mechanical systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Finding and testing materials and manufacturing processes to enhance robotic systems.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Leading failure analysis and risk assessment for mechanical components in robotic systems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including electrical, industrial design, and software engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
• Staying updated on emerging technologies and trends in mechanical design and robotics.
