Overview
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to direct and oversee the financial activities of Catholic Charities. The CFO will work closely with the executive director, board of directors, finance committee, and auditors to provide financial analysis and reporting of all financials.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all cash management, investments, budgeting, and financial reporting for Catholic Charities
- Develop and manage annual operating, capital, and program budgets, and provide reporting for the same
- Plan and oversee the completion of the annual independent audit and the annual 990
- Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal control activities
- Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure strong fiscal management, project coordination, departmental communication, and workflows
- Work with Senior Directors and Directors to efficiently develop agency budgets and ensure contract / grant compliance, reporting and billing
- Perform risk management through analysis of liabilities and investments and evaluate / manage capital campaigns
- Manage the finance department and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities
- Provide support to the Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) process
- Review and analyze financial statements for each department, providing feedback to program directors regarding budgets
- Supervise accounting maintenance, including : monthly closing procedures, posting regular monthly journal entries, invoicing special programs, recording payments / donations, maintaining fixed asset records, and preparing annual fixed asset inventories
- Reconcile and balance inter-fund accounts and accrue liabilities at month-end
- Prepare and present financial statements for the Finance Committee and Board meetings in accordance with GAAP
- Coordinate and support annual audits by providing necessary documents and explanations
- Supervise Finance staff in payroll and benefits management, including semi-monthly payroll, payroll deductions, payroll expenses, bank reconciliations, tax withholding statements, pension payment reports, and related postings
- Serve as a central source for financial education and consultation to agency staff, including assisting with grant submissions and resolving accounting record issues

Qualifications
Degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance requiredCertified Public Accountant designation preferred5+ years’ experience in fund and functional accounting requiredExperience in a non-profit environment preferredKnowledge of Blackbaud Financial Management Software desirableKnowledge, Skills and Abilities

This is sedentary work with typical office activities and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds of equipment; travel may be required.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment; may involve fast-paced decision making and crisis situations.
