About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and hands-on Director of Housekeeping to lead our Environmental Services / Housekeeping Department in our skilled nursing facility. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors while maintaining strict compliance with state, federal, and infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, train, and schedule housekeeping and laundry staff
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and facility spaces
Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
Oversee supply inventory, ordering, and budget adherence
Conduct routine facility inspections and quality control audits
Collaborate with Nursing, Maintenance, and Administration to address housekeeping needs
Participate in survey readiness and QAPI initiatives
Promote excellent customer service and resident satisfaction
Qualifications
Prior supervisory or management experience in housekeeping required
Experience in healthcare, SNF, hospital, or hospitality strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of infection control and cleaning standards
Ability to manage staff scheduling, training, and performance development
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to work well in fast-paced environment and manage priorities
