JOB TITLE : Data Integration Specialist, Temporary - Client Benefits
FLSA CLASSIFICATION : Hourly, Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO : Director of Client Benefits
LOCATION : Hybrid (3 days in office) Position in Vancouver, WA, or Houston, TX
SUMMARY : Assists the Director of Client Benefits to support the client benefit sales process by combining data sets into Excel to produce viable census data for quoting master health and welfare plans.

Job Duties :
- Data Collection & Consolidation
- Gather data from various internal and external sources (e.g., benefit summaries, invoices, databases, reports, flat files).
- Import and consolidate data into a master Excel workbook for analysis and reporting.
- Data Cleaning & Validation
- Perform data validation, clean-up, and formatting to ensure consistency and accuracy across datasets.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, missing values, or duplicates.
- Excel-Based Data Management
- Use intermediate Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, IF statements, conditional formatting, and pivot tables.
- Maintain organized and efficient workbook structures with clear tabs, headers, and documentation.
- System Navigation & Cross-Platform Integration
- Extract and input data from various platforms such as CRMs, ERPs, financial systems, or cloud tools (e.g., Salesforce, Adobe PDF, Google Sheets).
- Navigate multiple data systems to pull and verify data
- Reporting & Updates
- Create and update recurring reports on the integrated data.
- Distribute completed reports to stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Process Documentation
- Document data integration workflows, data sources, and update procedures to ensure repeatability and clarity for future users.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work with different departments (e.g., Operations, Underwriting, Client Benefits) to understand data needs and ensure the final output meets business requirements.
- Communicate any data issues or system limitations to relevant teams and propose solutions where possible.
- Quality Assurance
- Perform regular checks to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Troubleshoot errors in Excel formulas or mismatched data from sources.
- Time & Task Management
- Prioritize multiple data tasks and meet deadlines for periodic data updates (e.g., weekly, monthly reports).
- Suggestions for Improvement
- Recommend ways to improve data workflows or automation (e.g., using Excel macros or Power Query if appropriate).
QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum of 3 years regular, hands-on Excel use.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.Experience with CRM software; Salesforce is a plus.Commitment to excellence and high standards.Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.Ability to work independently and with various team members.Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructionsAcute attention to detail.Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.Basic benefits knowledge (preferred)Compensation and Benefits :
The starting pay rate for this position is $35-40 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography, skills, education, experience, certifications, and other qualifications of the candidate.
Benefits : The Company does not offer benefits for temporary positions.
Paid Time Off : 40 hours of paid sick leave annually (additional sick / front loading / accrual, if any, based on state or regional requirements). Temporary positions are not eligible for vacation, holidays or volunteer days.
