Staff Data Scientist

A company is looking for a Staff Data Scientist to lead the development of research capabilities within the Virtual Research Data Center (VRDC).

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain an enterprise-grade research infrastructure using Python, SQL, and PySpark

Conduct cutting-edge machine learning research to understand patterns in healthcare and finance

Provide mentorship and set technical standards for the team

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. or Master's degree in a quantitative field with 8+ years of relevant experience

Proven experience in designing and building scalable data science systems

Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience in data manipulation and statistical modeling

Experience with distributed computing environments, particularly Databricks and PySpark

Healthcare data fluency, especially with Medicare claims and value-based care concepts
