Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Non-destructive testing (NDT) is a way to detect and evaluate flaws in materials. X-Ray Industries provides opportunities to learn cutting edge methodology in the NDT industry.
Clerks work closely with technicians and the customer service team to facilitate operations by overseeing all ingoing and outgoing shipment.
This person will frequently interact with customers
- Receiving of parts
- Cursory review of customer purchase order / work order
- Counting of parts
- Visual inspection of parts for shipping damage
- Identify incoming work via stamping, tagging, etc.
- Move parts and travelers to appropriate inspection areas
- Packaging of parts for outgoing shipments
- Create bill of lading, UPS, USPS, Fed-Ex etc.
- Contact customers when jobs are completed
- Provide support as needed to the Customer Service department
- Always observe the Corporate Quality Assurance and Quality System policies.
- Create and monitor multiple shipping and metrics logs
- Manage film recycling logs
- Responsibility of purchasing and log in GL
- Create and review purchase orders for correctness
- Monitor calibration and chemical POs reflect correctly
- Assist with accounts payable
- Review requirements pertaining to purchase orders, specifications, revisions, pricing and lab card entry.
- Creates job package prior to work being released to NDT department.
- Receive guidance or supervision from a certified level 1, 2 or 3 in that method when necessary.
- When specified in the written practice and approved by the Responsible Level 3, communicate to the customer the interpretations and evaluations of specific product(s) or product form(s) for acceptance or rejection in accordance with the approved work instructions.
- Contact customers and educating them of the NDT process as needed.
- Answering phones when needed.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
