Job Summary :
The Patient Access Representative II is responsible for securing and providing information to patients, families, and funding sources to register, schedule, and / or obtain authorizations for inpatient, outpatient, and / or diagnostic services. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to develop rapport with diverse individuals.

Responsibilities :
- Secures and provides information to patient families and funding sources.
- Registers, schedules, and / or obtains authorizations for inpatient, outpatient, and / or diagnostic services.
- Demonstrates customer service skills to develop rapport with a variety of customers.
- Performs data entry and maintains productivity standards.
- Verifies insurance, authorization, and eligibility requirements for health insurance carriers.
Required Skills & Certifications :
Experience / general knowledge of managed care health plans.Knowledge of scheduling, registration, billing, and / or claims payment.Minimum of two years of work experience in a healthcare setting and / or one year of work experience in a specific department function call center environment.High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.Knowledge of basic computer functionality.Ability to type and perform data entry.General knowledge of medical terminology or 6 months demonstrated work experience in a healthcare setting.Knowledge of insurance verification, authorization, and eligibility requirements for health insurance carriers.Preferred Skills & Certifications :
