Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based Operating Room within a Level I trauma and teaching facility Handles high-volume ortho, trauma, spine, neuro (including craniotomies), and all other surgical specialties, with minimal pediatric cases 1 : 1 nurse-to-patient ratio Scheduled for three 12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday Limited on-call required : 8 weeknight calls in 8 weeks, as assigned No floating outside the OR is required Cerner charting system is used and experience is required Scrubs provided for OR RNs Works as part of a surgical team in an 11-room OR performing a wide variety of high acuity cases Modules required and completed during first week of orientation Must work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays; no time off allowed in the first week First-time travelers are accepted Return travelers ineligible if they cancelled a previous contract within 10 days of their start date at this health system Free parking available onsite Requirements Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact RN license Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum of 2 years of recent OR RN experience Experience in general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro (including craniotomies) required Level I trauma experience required, though highly skilled Level II trauma experience may be considered Two professional references required prior to start, including one from the most recent employer within the past year Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-611695.
