School Bookkeeper
The School Bookkeeper performs the activities of preparing, transferring, transcribing, systematizing, or preserving records, and transactions. Keeps accurate and detailed bookkeeping records and prepares statements reflecting those activities.

The incumbent is required to :
- Report consistently for work as scheduled
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Attain proficient or higher evaluations on established Performance Standards
- Assist department head with maintenance of departmental budget
- Assist in the daily activities of the general ledger accounting, including but not limited to, preparing and inputting journal entries, budget transfers, and bank reconciliations
- Collect and maintain accurate accounts receivable entries
- Compose, perform, and type routine correspondence and reports and update lists
- Develop and implement office procedures and methods to ensure the efficiency of office operations
- Develop and maintain required reports
- Maintain and reconcile PTO and activity accounts at a district / school level
- Maintain and / or prepare payroll records for guest and regular staff, including completing guest staff pay receipts, accounting for staff absences, and providing payroll records to Business Services
- Maintain inventory of office supplies; order and stock materials and supplies as necessary
- Maintain various databases, reports, and office filing systems
- Make deposits in school checking account
- Manage school petty cash fund
- Perform a variety of bookkeeping procedures within the department and track various accounts and contracts; reconcile accounts and records; maintain / prepare budget records and summaries
- Perform a variety of duties using various types of office equipment
- Perform routine typing activities related to departmental functions
- Prepare and process reports which require research, computation, and compilation
- Process purchase orders and requisitions as required, track orders as received, and maintain records of school purchases
- Process purchase requisitions for office equipment, maintenance needs, and staff expenses and office supplies
- Responsible for ticket sales at all athletic events where admission is taken
- Set up, file, and sort a variety of documents, to include sensitive and confidential information
- Track general fund budget for the principal
- Track / process accounts receivable and bank statement reconciliation
