Senior Strategy Consultant

We are seeking a Senior Strategy Consultant with demonstrated experience in energy and utilities. This individual will apply a deep understanding of organizational, operational, and financial drivers to help clients design strategies that achieve measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with consulting leadership and the ability to engage executives in transformative discussions about business performance and innovation.
What You'll Do
- Advise clients in the energy and utilities sector on business strategy, transformation, and operational improvements, working closely with senior leadership to address complex organizational challenges.
- Lead and support initiatives related to capital planning, process optimization, and business performance, helping organizations achieve measurable outcomes.
- Develop and deliver strategic recommendations by synthesizing market trends, regulatory developments, and organizational priorities.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder engagement, and executive-level discussions to guide decision-making and foster alignment across diverse teams.
- Conduct assessments of organizational readiness, risk and resilience, providing actionable insights for business transformation and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with clients to design and implement solutions that bridge objectives with utility processes and regulatory frameworks.
- Mentor and guide junior consultants and project teams, sharing best practices and supporting professional growth.
- Prepare and present clear, concise reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and strategic insights to senior stakeholders.
- Support offering development and thought leadership by contributing to internal initiatives, industry publications, and client proposals.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to drive business growth and deliver value.
Preferred Experience & Skills :
Prior experience in management consulting or industry roles focused on energy and utilitiesProven experience in business strategy, capital planning, and operational excellence.Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to perform quantitative problem-solving and financial modeling.Experience leading cross-functional workshops, stakeholder interviews, and strategy sessions with executive-level participants.Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise recommendations and actionable insights.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical and strategic concepts to executive audiences.Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring, team development, and project management.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with analytical or visualization tools is a plus.Familiarity with operations and planning functions within energy and utilities.Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changing client needs in a fast-paced consulting environment.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, including exploring new methodologies, tools, and frameworks for business transformation.Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related degree and 7 years of relevant experience.Prior experience associated with critical infrastructure operations and planning or consulting.Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.Demonstrated leadership skills.Proven ability to lead, educate, and train a team of consultants and analysts in management consulting frameworks.Ability to independently solve difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Demonstrated critical thinking skills.Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines and to be effective in on-site work environments.Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, including the identification of critical path items to ensure deliverable deadlines are met.Ability to focus on the big picture to effectively and efficiently provide services that meet client needs, while also having the ability to identify and analyze details that are critical to project outcomes.Willingness to learn new service offerings as client needs and the market require changes to the service offerings provided by our group.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT).Compensation : $165,000.00-350,000.00 Yearly
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local / state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to : individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
