2 years of experience in an emergency department.

Experience working in a designated trauma facility.

Description :

This position requires a knowledgeable and skilled Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department.

The unit has nine beds and a staff of two RNs on the day shift and two RNs on the night shift.

Patient ratios are 4 : 1, ensuring attentive care.

Essential equipment includes a Lucas Device, nurse-run lab, ventilators, CPAP / BiPap, Blanketrol, and Lifepack 15.

The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.

Candidates must exhibit strong emergency nursing skills, particularly in high-acuity situations.

Experience in a freestanding emergency room and certifications such as Paramedic License / Certification are preferred.

Typical procedures performed include chest tube placement, intubations, conscious sedation, wound repair, splinting with Orthoglass, nebulizer treatment, and ventilator management.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a small team environment, providing high-quality care with limited staffing during peak times.

Weekend shifts are required, with a minimum of two weekend shifts every two weeks.
