Job description

Michelin starred Essential by Christophe is seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional & memorable service. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dining room, ensuring that our guests receive the highest standard of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the front-of-house team, including captains, service assistants, hosts, runners, barbacks, and bartenders.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient operation of the dining room during service hours.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
  • Train and mentor staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with grace and professionalism.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed.
  • Implement and uphold health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in and executing special events and private functions.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations.
  • Manage with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote the culture, values, and standards of our restaurants.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role in a high-end restaurant. Michelin experience is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of fine dining service standards and procedures.
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • A passion for food, wine, and hospitality.
