Blood samples are collected by our state certified phlebotomists - health workers with expertise in drawing blood. Testing is performed by the California licensed Clinical Lab Scientist staff and monitored by board certified pathologists.
The Lead Chemistry Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will direct daily operations of the Clinical Laboratory and Pathology Services with 24-hour responsibility.
The Lead Chemistry Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will provide leadership and works closely with Lab / Pathology management, staff, and pathologists, to guide technical and operational direction, planning and coordination of services.
The Lead Chemistry Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will be responsible for project planning and development; equipment and facilitates planning, staff development and training;
budget preparation; regulatory compliance; contract negotiations for equipment, maintenance and supplies; productivity and performance improvement.
The Lead Chemistry Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will be responsible for the daily operations and technical and scientific oversight of the Core Laboratory.
This includes the Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Microbiology and Blood Bank laboratory sections. This position supervises all laboratory personnel, including Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Laboratory Assistants, and Technical Support Specialist III.
