LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a client in the Farmingdale, NY area to hire a Payroll Specialis t.
You will collaborate closely with the HR department and finance team to ensure timely payroll processing, accurate deductions, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
This role requires a strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a solid understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
Responsibilities :
- Process end-to-end payroll for all employees accurately and on schedule. Calculate wages, bonuses, overtime, and other compensation accurately, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, collective bargaining agreements, and company policies.
- Verify time and attendance records, resolve discrepancies, and handle payroll adjustments as necessary.
- Process new hires, terminations, promotions, and other employment status changes in the payroll system.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee benefits, deductions, and garnishments.
- Review and reconcile payroll data, including tax withholdings, insurance premiums, retirement contributions, and other payroll-related accounts.
Prepare and distribute pay stubs, direct deposit statements, and other payroll related documents to employees.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax-related matters.
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure accurate and up-to-date employee data in the payroll system.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor laws to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll-related reports, including tax filings, reconciliations, and year-end processes.
Qualifications :
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processing, tax regulations, and employment laws.
- Experience with a payroll software is a must
- Strong understanding of benefits administration, deductions, and garnishments.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
The anticipated pay rate range for this position is between $30 to $38 dollars per hour dependent on experience. For consideration, submit your resume.
