Location : 4770 Regent Blvd, Irving TX 75063

Schedule : Monday - Friday | 11 : 30PM - 7 : 30AM

Pay : $20.00 / hr + Full Benefits

Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking a  Specimen Processing Technician I (SPT I)  to join our client's team in Irving, TX. This role is essential in supporting the  Specimen Processing Department  by ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality handling of specimens in a fast-paced production environment.

Position Overview

The SPT I is responsible for a variety of support functions, including but not limited to :   attention to detail, organizational skills, and adaptability  in a dynamic environment where compliance and quality are critical to patient care and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Imaging / microfilming of documents
• Centrifugation and aliquoting of specimens
• Operating at the A-station with accuracy and timeliness
• Perform all specimen processing tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with regulations related to test ordering and specimen handling.
• Meet productivity and quality standards in a production-driven environment.
• Adhere to biohazard safety practices and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Communicate effectively with staff across all levels.
• Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to daily changes and demands.
• Specimen presort, pickup, and delivery within the laboratory
• Familiarity with laboratory testing or specimen processing a plus.
• Data entry skills (minimum 6,000 keystrokes / hour).
• Basic computer knowledge required.
