About the Team

Our Sales team manages the full sales cycle, helping prospects and existing customers leverage Mixpanel to analyze, measure, and improve their customer experience. The Account Executive has two main responsibilities : be an Account Executive who brings in new business, and be a Relationship Manager who nurtures existing customers. The team focuses on companies with 201-1000 employees, with an emphasis on high-growth tech companies making an impact.

About the Role

As an Account Executive, you\'ll help our future customers understand the power of Mixpanel as a best-in-class product analytics solution. Collaboration is key, building strong relationships with prospects and stakeholders, and working with internal partners like Solutions Engineering to win as a team. You\'ll leverage prospecting skills in SaaS sales to tech companies, combined with strong knowledge of Mixpanel\'s product and ecosystem to close new business and power the next generation of innovative companies.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect into new business units within targeted customer accounts — build and maintain pipeline while owning the sales cycle from start to finish.
  • Drive awareness of Mixpanel as a solution within the marketplace and handle inbound requests from interested prospects.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records related to New Business opportunities, and provide accurate weekly revenue forecasts.
  • Approach all deals with a customer-focused mentality. Develop relationships and uncover needs of multiple key stakeholders to find value moments.
  • Sell with a long-term consultative approach.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key partners such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and Legal.
  • Understand Mixpanel\'s competition and technology partners to advise customers on our position in the broader analytics market.

We\'re Looking For Someone Who Has

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in full-cycle SaaS sales from prospecting to close, as an Account Executive or related cross-functional role like Sales Engineer.
  • Strong outbound prospecting experience with a track record of closing net-new business.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator with strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
  • Adaptability — you understand that change is constant and you embrace it.
  • Agility and resilience — you move quickly and pursue continuous improvement.
  • Strong work ethic, desire to learn, and a drive to excel.
  • Curiosity for the product analytics space.

  • Experience selling into high-growth tech companies.
  • Experience with Mixpanel or other analytics tools.

    Compensation

    The listed amount is the total target cash compensation (TTCC) and includes base salary and variable compensation in the form of a company bonus or commissions. The position is eligible for equity consideration and benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance. Salary ranges are benchmarked to market data and may be updated periodically. Individual pay is determined by experience, skills, and qualifications.
