General Description :

The Director of Rehabilitation Services at Evara Health oversees the administration and management of all aspects of the rehabilitation department, including physical therapy, occupational therapy and other therapy modalities.

This leadership role is crucial for coordinating and supervising operations, ensuring quality of care, compliance with regulatory standards, and aligning departmental goals with our organization's mission, vision, and values.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Directs overall operations of rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, and other therapy modalities, ensuring excellence in patient care and compliance with state, federal, and local regulations.
  • Oversees the selection, retention, training, and performance management of all PT / OT staff, fostering a culture of professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinates departmental activities, setting objectives, and evaluates performance against budgetary and operational metrics.
  • Implements and maintains performance improvement activities within the department, promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conducts patients care directly, demonstrating expertise across all ages and rehabilitation modalities.
  • Develops and administers patient treatment plans based on referrals, evaluations, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Prepares and reviews reports on rehabilitation services, including utilization, performance, outcome data, and service quality, to inform strategic decisions.
  • Leads orientation, in-service training, and educational programs for staff, enhancing professional skills and ensuring high standards of care.
  • Actively participates in and supports the educational needs of patients and staff, utilizing evidence-based practices to drive positive health outcomes.
  • Actively collaborates with and mentor residents, students, and trainees, integrating Evara Health's mission into clinical education, and supports clinical support staff in delivering comprehensive healthcare.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and compliance with regulatory agencies and established organizational policies and procedures, including strict adherence to all Evara Health, HIPAA, HRSA, State, Federal, and accreditation agency rules and regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Supervises physical therapists, occupational therapists and therapists of other modalities.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • A minimum of a master’s degree in occupational therapy or a doctorate degree in physical therapy is required.
  • Current, valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • At least five years of management experience in a rehabilitation setting, with a strong background in outpatient therapy services.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of effectively leading a therapy team and positively influencing the growth and success of rehabilitation services.
  • Experience in budget management, performance improvement, and staff development.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
