Data Reporting Analyst

Description

We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our client's team in Maine. In this role, you will transform complex datasets into meaningful insights and visualizations, enabling informed decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate combines technical experience with a strong understanding of data security principles to ensure the integrity and privacy of organizational data.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau.

Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases.

Perform data cleaning, transformation, and analysis using Excel.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.

Monitor and ensure the security and privacy of data, adhering to internal and external compliance standards.

Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support strategic initiatives.

Document processes, methodologies, and findings clearly and concisely.

Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in data analysis or a related role.

Experience in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

Skills in Python for automation and advanced data analysis would be a bonus.

Solid knowledge of data security best practices, including compliance with relevant frameworks.

Advanced Excel capabilities, including pivot tables and complex formulas.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
