Senior Tax Manager / Director Real Estate emphasis
Job Summary :
In this role, the Senior Tax Manager / Director will collaborate closely with an existing shareholder to provide compliance and consulting services to a large real estate client.
This engagement is comprised of entities (including partnerships and S Corporations) associated with real estate development, leasing, and management and includes multiple investors and complicated income allocations.
In addition to reviewing tax returns, the Senior Tax Manager / Director will participate in identifying client issues, providing solutions, and communicating directly with the client.
The Senior Tax Manager / Director must possess strong written communication and oral presentation skills, conduct tax research efficiently, and supervise and mentor several members of the team.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Master of Taxation degree preferred.
- CPA License required (or state bar).
- 10+ years tax experience in a public accounting firm (with at least 5 years in a relevant Senior Manager or Director role).
- Leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural facilitator.
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient use of technology including MS Excel.
- Experience mentoring and training team members.
- Presents themselves and the firm in a professional manner.
Other Requirements :
- This is a hybrid position, four days in-office, one pre-selected day from home.
- This position is salaried and exempt from overtime pay; scheduled overtime will be required in the eight (8) weeks leading up to April 15 and October 15 deadlines.
