Overview Principal Systems Engineer – Change Management Lead. This role is being managed by Talent Stack LLC, a woman-owned recruiting firm specializing in cleared and technical placements. We are representing a confidential, defense-focused client committed to solving meaningful, mission-critical challenges that support national security. The position is for the Air & Space Defense Systems unit and requires an active and transferable U.S. government Top Secret (TS / SCI) clearance.

This role has a full Benefits Package including : Medical, Dental and Vision benefits with 6 weeks of paid PTO, Short Term Disability, 401k with 5% match and relocation assistance up to $8k.

Base pay range : $230,000.00 / yr - $270,000.00 / yr

What You’ll Do

Lead responses to customer RFPs, RFCs, and ROMs by coordinating and consolidating inputs from cross-functional teams.

Develop high-quality artifacts required for submission to the customer.

Serve as a direct interface with government customers during reviews, briefings, and technical exchanges.

Present and brief senior leadership to ensure alignment before delivering proposed solutions.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field. Master’s degree preferred.

8+ years of professional experience in Systems Engineering in a DoD environment preferred.

Proven experience with proposal generation, evaluation, pricing, quality checks, and submissions.

Hands-on experience with RFPs, RFQs, RFCs, and ROM estimates, ideally in government or defense programs.

Familiarity with large-scale Agile software development processes.

Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret - TS / SCI security clearance is required prior to start date (Polygraph eligibility required post-hire).
