About the Role
This is a high-impact opportunity to join a global investment organization supporting the execution of private equity and venture capital transactions. The Senior Associate will serve as the operational quarterback for complex deal activity, ensuring every closing is coordinated seamlessly across internal teams and external stakeholders. This role sits at the intersection of investment operations, legal documentation, and transaction execution, providing mission-critical support as the firm continues to scale its private markets footprint. The individual will work closely with colleagues across investment, legal, tax, finance, and operations while driving key workflow enhancements, process improvements, and technology-enabled solutions that strengthen the overall deal infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end operational execution of private equity and venture transactions, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and requirements are met across multiple workstreams
- Coordinate closely with investment teams and cross-functional partners to manage closing logistics, corporate actions, and document flow
- Serve as a primary point of contact for external counsel, custodians, and administrative agents to facilitate KYC / AML, documentation exchange, and issue resolution
- Review transaction materials, monitor outstanding items, and manage the negotiation or delegation of revisions to ensure readiness for closing
- Act as the go-to resource for process interpretation, operational policies, and workflow guidance across front-, middle-, and back-office teams
- Drive initiatives that strengthen transaction workflows, enhance operational scalability, and streamline processes across regional and functional boundaries
- Support the alignment of systems, data, and reporting tools used across the deal lifecycle, contributing to the continued modernization of the platform
- Provide coverage and collaboration across a broad set of private equity strategies, partnering with colleagues in other offices when needed
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in investment operations, deal execution support, legal documentation, or transaction management within private equity, venture capital, asset management, or a related financial services environmentStrong understanding of private markets transaction mechanics, documentation, operational workflows, and regulatory considerationsProven ability to manage multiple concurrent deals with precision, organization, and attention to detailFamiliarity with KYC / AML requirements, diligence processes, and industry-standard closing proceduresExcellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to coordinate across diverse teams and external partnersHighly organized self-starter with strong analytical reasoning and the ability to work effectively with minimal oversightComfortable operating in a fast-paced, cross-regional environment with evolving priorities and short timelinesSeniority level
