Senior Director, Global SMB Product Marketing (Contract)

Base pay range : $100.00 / hr - $115.00 / hr
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and execution‑driven Senior Director (Contract) to lead Global SMB Product Marketing during a six‑month maternity leave coverage period. In this temporary leadership role you will oversee the global go‑to‑market (GTM) strategy and execution for the SMB merchant segment, driving alignment across Product, Sales, Commercial, Partnerships, and Marketing to ensure continuity of business momentum and GTM excellence.
You’ll manage a high‑performing global team of product marketers, maintain critical cross‑functional partnerships, and guide ongoing GTM initiatives across acquisition, retention, and growth for SMB offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide interim leadership for the global SMB Product Marketing team, ensuring ongoing execution of strategic priorities and alignment with broader B2B marketing objectives.
- Maintain and evolve segmentation and Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) frameworks for SMB merchants to ensure focus on high‑value growth opportunities.
- Serve as a key strategic advisor to the VP of B2B Marketing and SMB leadership team.
- Drive ongoing GTM programs across priority products (e.g., checkout, working capital, BNPL, invoicing, POS), ensuring readiness across content, messaging, enablement, and performance tracking.
- Partner closely with Product, Sales, and Commercial teams to sustain momentum on key initiatives, launches, and experiments already in motion.
- Oversee global SMB pricing, packaging, and positioning strategies, maintaining consistency across regions.
- Collaborate with Acquisition, Lifecycle, and Channel teams to ensure integrated execution across merchant journeys and audience segments.
- Act as a connector across Product, Sales, Partnerships, and Regional Marketing to drive execution, troubleshoot blockers, and maintain GTM velocity.
- Manage and support a global team of Product Marketing Managers, providing clarity, direction, and coaching to maintain performance and engagement during the leave period.
- Ensure ongoing reporting, tracking, and communication of key GTM metrics and business outcomes.
Required Experience & Skills
15+ years of experience in B2B Product Marketing, including leadership of global or cross‑regional teams.Proven success driving GTM strategy and execution within payments, fintech, or platform businesses.Strong understanding of SMB customer needs and the digital commerce landscape.Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.Demonstrated ability to translate insights into GTM strategy and impactful execution.Confident communicator with strong executive presence and influencing skills.What We’re Looking For
