Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine WA

As a Locum Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Medicine, you will play a crucial role in performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Overview
We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners to assist with non-treatment exams and health assessments primarily interview-based with some physical evaluations. No prescribing or treatment is involved, focusing solely on assessment and documentation. This role offers the flexibility of half-day or full-day shifts on a weekly basis, with quick onboarding and credentialing. Required Skills
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in Washington State
- Proven experience in General Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related fields
- Strong interview-based assessment skills with physical exam capabilities including range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Excellent documentation and report submission skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills
- Prior experience conducting Compensation & Pension exams or military-related health assessments
- Familiarity with VA or government healthcare programs
- Additional certifications related to occupational health or veteran care
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master’s degree or higher in Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in General or Internal Medicine
- Previous experience in military or veteran healthcare settings is advantageous
Other Requirements
- Own office space (for providers with own location) or willingness to work within specified geographic areas (Oak Harbor, Aberdeen, Grand Coulee)
- Ability to travel locally to exam sites; local candidates preferred
- Willingness to perform administrative follow-up tasks such as addendums and diagnostic reading
- Availability to start on or around March 6, 2026
