As a Locum Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Medicine, you will play a crucial role in performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Overview
We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners to assist with non-treatment exams and health assessments primarily interview-based with some physical evaluations. No prescribing or treatment is involved, focusing solely on assessment and documentation. This role offers the flexibility of half-day or full-day shifts on a weekly basis, with quick onboarding and credentialing. Join us in supporting our nation's Veterans with your expertise, contribute to ongoing healthcare needs, and enjoy the convenience of local travel reimbursements.

Required Skills

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Washington State
• Proven experience in General Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related fields
• Strong interview-based assessment skills with physical exam capabilities including range of motion and muscle strength testing
• Excellent documentation and report submission skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills

• Prior experience conducting Compensation & Pension exams or military-related health assessments
• Familiarity with VA or government healthcare programs
• Additional certifications related to occupational health or veteran care

Preferred Education and Experience

• Master’s degree or higher in Nursing
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in General or Internal Medicine
• Previous experience in military or veteran healthcare settings is advantageous

Other Requirements

• Own office space (for providers with own location) or willingness to work within specified geographic areas (Oak Harbor, Aberdeen, Grand Coulee)
• Ability to travel locally to exam sites; local candidates preferred
• Willingness to perform administrative follow-up tasks such as addendums and diagnostic reading
• Availability to start on or around March 6, 2026
