What You'll Do :

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and / or responding to emergency situations as appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for potential concerns.

Monitor access points to the location and check identification or credentials as required.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, observations, and incidents during each shift.

Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with questions or directions as needed in a professional and respectful manner.

Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary.

Remain alert and aware of the surroundings at all times to identify potential issues or risks.

Handle and carry assigned firearms responsibly, following all Allied Universal and location-specific procedures and training requirements.

Minimum Requirements :

3 years or more of prior law enforcement, military or adult corrections experience or a complete bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice is required.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
