Job Title : Payroll Specialist
Location : Manhattan, NY
Position Type : Full-time, 5 days / week onsite
Overview : Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, exceptional organizational skills, and advanced proficiency in MS Excel. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees.
Responsibilities :
- Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner.
- Calculate wages, deductions, and overtime hours.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure they are up-to-date.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.
- Handle inquiries from employees regarding payroll-related matters.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accuracy of employee data.
- Assist in the implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on relevant payroll laws and regulations.
- Perform other payroll-related duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas.Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex).Certification in Payroll (e.g., CPP, FPC).
