The Team : The Oracle Database and Systems Technologies organization creates data management technologies that power the modern economy.

This includes the Oracle Database, the most widely used mission-critical database in all major industries around the world.

We use this foundation to develop Database Services in Public and Private Clouds, and the Oracle Autonomous Database, the world’s first self-driving, self-securing, self-repairing mission-critical cloud database service.

The organization also engineers hardware systems specialized for databases that are used by over 75% of the largest businesses in the world.

In this team, the code that you write will power highly critical systems used by billions of people including travel reservations, telecommunications, hospitals, payroll, insurance, banking, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, e-commerce, utilities, and government services.

Career Level - IC2ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Do : The Database Engineering Team is responsible for full stack development of a family of databases including Oracle NoSQL Database, Oracle Times-Ten In-Memory Database, and the industry-leading Oracle Database itself.

This is a systems-focused group that works on areas such as distributed databases, substantial scalability, high availability, security, analytics, data warehousing, automatic parallelization, networking, replication, distributed caching, transaction engines, data engines, SQL execution, query optimization, and language design.

The team develops in-database machine-learning and AI algorithms both to help our customers improve their business and to make our own products autonomous.

In addition, this group is also responsible for working on Oracle Engineered Systems which provide utmost performance and availability using technologies such as Persistent Memory and RDMA.

What You’ll Bring : (Objective Minimum Qualifications) : To be considered for a Software Engineer position in the Database Technologies organization, you must possess the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below.

Have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent science / engineering field by August 2024.

Reside in the United States and / or attend a university in the US.Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2024.Are strongly proficient (i.

e., able to complete coding projects with no assistance) in at least one of the following programming languages : C, C++ or JavaHave the ability to implement sophisticated algorithms and data structures in very complex systems with the highest quality.

Have completed coursework, projects, internships, and or research in three or more of the following Systems Programming related areas : CompilersComputer ArchitectureDistributed SystemsDatabase SystemsHigh Performance ComputingMultithreaded / Multicore programming / Concurrent programmingParallel ProgrammingOperating Systems ConceptsHave completed at least one internship, research assistantship, teaching assistantship, or equivalent practical experience working with the relevant technical areas noted above.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations onlyUS : Hiring Range : from $62,100 to $158,200 per annum.
