Part-Time Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Sebastopol, California. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a variety of financial tasks efficiently. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring accurate record-keeping and smooth financial operations for the organization.

Responsibilities :

  • Record and manage bills, deposits, and invoices within the accounting system.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial data.
  • Submit payments and deposits to appropriate county offices in a timely manner.
  • Verify employee timesheets and process payroll with precision.
  • Oversee employee benefit accounts and maintain personnel files.
  • Update and manage vendor information while tracking accounts payable and receivable.
  • Follow up on aging accounts to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Generate monthly invoices for project managers' review and approval.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and streamline administrative processes.

Requirements :

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and vendors.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities independently.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and problem-solving abilities.
  • Consistent and accurate record-keeping practices.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
