Mendota Heights, Minnesota Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Occupational Medicine / Urgent Care Locum Tenens

Rhino Medical is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an ongoing occupational medicine and urgent care locum tenens opportunity in Mendota Heights, MN .

This role offers predictable weekday hours , a low-acuity outpatient environment , and the chance to deliver evidence-based occupational health and primary care services in a modern, well-supported clinic just outside Minneapolis.

Assignment Highlights :

Location : Mendota Heights, Minnesota (Minneapolis Area)

Setting : Outpatient Occupational Medicine / Urgent Care Clinic

Contract Type : Locum Tenens (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM | 3–5 days per week

Start Date : ASAP – Ongoing

Duration : Long-term, ongoing PRN or full-time option

EMR : Proprietary, user-friendly system optimized for occupational health documentation

Volume : Moderate daily census – mix of occupational, urgent care, and preventive visits

Support : Medical Assistants, X-ray Technicians, and offsite supervising physician

Clinical Scope & Responsibilities :

Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and acute illnesses

Perform pre-employment, DOT, and surveillance physicals

Manage minor procedures : wound care, splinting, suturing, I&Ds

Deliver patient education and communicate return-to-work recommendations

Maintain documentation in compliance with OSHA and occupational health standards

Candidate Requirements :

Licensure : Active and unrestricted Minnesota NP or PA License

Certifications : BLS (required), DOT / FMCSA certification preferred

Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience in urgent care or occupational medicine

DEA : Active and unrestricted (MN address)

Skills : Confident working independently with support from offsite supervising physician
