As a Security Officer - Mall Center Patrol in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a vibrant retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate : $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 03 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Fri 03 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sat 03 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sun 03 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participate in emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and mall location, including both the business area and the surrounding perimeter.
  • Observe for unusual activity or conditions that could indicate a security-related concern and report findings as required.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site management to address security-related needs.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and / or patrons by providing information and guidance as needed during patrols.
  • Document activities and incidents in accordance with site and Allied Universal protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
