PCU Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Fort Wayne, IN 46845 (Indiana nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Neuro Progressive Care Unit (Stepdown / PCU) Assignment Type : Travel RN Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 - End : 2 / 16 / 2026) Shift : 7am - 7pm, 12-hour day shifts Hours : 36 hours per week Weekend Requirement : 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule Dress Code : Caribbean blue scrubs Estimated Weekly Pay : $2090 - $2140 PCU RN Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Stepdown RN experience Neuro nursing experience required Active Indiana or compact Registered Nurse license BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required) NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (may obtain prior to start) EPIC charting experience preferred PCU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to neuro progressive / stepdown patients in a clinical setting Perform drip titration (for experienced RNs); float to MedSurg and telemetry units as needed Utilize advanced healthcare technology : EPIC, PYXIS, Philips defibrillators, bedside monitors Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 3-4 : 1 on Progressive Care and 4-5 : 1 on MedSurg units Collaborate with a supportive healthcare team—never work alone Participate in Jumpstart orientation, EPIC training, and 1-2 days of unit-specific onboarding Float to similar units as required, ensuring safe patient ratios Apply now to join our healthcare team as a PCU Registered Nurse in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and make a difference in neuro nursing care!
