2026 Summer Innovation Developer Internship

Your Role

The Information Technology team oversees our data & analytics, strategic planning & performance, IT infrastructure services, IT shared services, IT applications, and information security functions and responsibilities at Stellarus. IT is a business partner that provides delivery excellence and leverages technology advancement to ensure Blue Shield is an information-led organization, in a secure, connected healthcare ecosystem. The Information Technology Intern will report to a manager in one of our various business units. In this role you will be developing and strengthening the structures needed to support a culture of AI development methodologies and delivering and collaborating on all aspects of AI product development, and working with leadership to identify, document, and enhance the team's AI strategy to bolster the team's capabilities.

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in IT related role (SRE, Dev Ops, Computer Science, Business Analytics, UX Design, Cloud Engineering)
• Must reside in the state of California
• Requires at least 1 year of related professional experience, project, or coursework
• Strong communication skills required, particularly writing for publication
• Proactive, solution focused mindset with demonstrated creative, problem-solving skills
• Passionate about changing healthcare and challenging the status quo to advance health equity

Pay

$25.00 per hour for Undergraduate

$30.00 per hour for Graduate

About Our Internships

Our paid internship program is thoughtfully curated to provide students experience and exposure to the health professional industry. Interns will be given the opportunity to get hands-on experience with real work projects, build meaningful relationship and connections within the organization, and experience our mission and enterprise goals through our program curriculum centered on our leadership model (Personal, People, Thought, and Results Leadership).
