Responsibilities
Creating an emotional link between the products we make, and our customers is the work of our H-E-B Own Brand Team. Own Brand Managers are true brand champions, responsible for development and growth of our brands across their respective business areas.
As an Own Brand Manager II, you'll define and develop brand strategies within your business areas, manage new product development, create launch plans, and oversee product lifecycle (marketing) of products.

Strategy / Management :
Collaboratively develops Own Brand (OB) strategies; promotes brand growth and expansion via brand plans; uses various data to drive volume and profitabilityDevelops / makes recommendations on business 3- / 5-year plans grounded in consumer insights, financial dataAssesses financial health / performance of the business area; provides recommendationsPerfects business analyses / synthesizes insights and data to fuel innovative ideas and deliver on strategic objectives; gains alignment on / leads those initiativesDetermines goals and objectives of OB branding strategies; defines design strategy; provides guidelines for OB package design and marketing materialsEnsures integrity of product development processCollaboratively executes creation / maintenance of brand presence across our digital channelsLeads a department initiative / participates in a corporate initiative / growth playProject Management :
Leads product lifecycle from start to finish; manages product development projects through development and validation processes to maximize speed to market with accuracyCollaboratively defines project scope; creates long- / short-term plans; sets targets for milestones; adheres to deadlines; motivates stakeholders to manage timelines; allocates resources; problem-solves to address delays, emergencies, and other issuesManages multiple, concurrent projects in various development phases; meets / exceeds budget and scheduling goalsEngages with Legal to implement risk assessment, trademarks, OB agreements, licensing, trade dress, etc.Submits design brief; reviews / approves all packaging design and label artworkCollaborates cross-functionally (eComm, Advertising, Supply Chain / Procurement) to ensure launch readinessEngages with Customer Insight Center (CIC) to ensure customer needs and expectations are metHosts project meetings at least once a week / bi-weekly with team and managers; coordinates with vendors / suppliers as neededManages business / data integrity for assigned businessesParticipates in quality assurance (QA) processCoaching / Training :
