Web Designer

Our client is looking for a talented Web Designer to join their team!

This role requires ONSITE work in Madison Wisconsin. MUST be able to work as a W2 contractor - cannot support c2c.

Description : Job Summary

Job Summary

This position will work directly with the Digital Design Team, and other members of the DCX team, to create and produce a variety of digital design assets, assuring that in addition to budgets and delivery dates, corporate and professional quality standards are followed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Transactional (70%)

Design and execute a variety of digital graphic designs including, but not limited to :

o Direct .com product pages, website banners, responsive promotional pages

o Indirect .com product pages, website banners

o Marketing content (product and landing pages, banners, ads) for retailer websites

o Digital Ads, POP (point of purchase), online banner graphics and Merchandising materials

o Social Media graphics (contests, posts, infographics)

o Digital marketing campaign graphics

o Assist the Digital Art Director with the development of photo & video shoot presentations, shot lists and art direction

Create world class optimized content for direct and retailer websites.

Analytical (20%)

• Collaborate with the other departments like eCommerce, Marketing, Multimedia & Video, and Legal to develop creative material.
• Achieve service excellence, meet and exceed organizational objectives.

Support (10%)

• Keep organized with digital files and artwork files in our system.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for site design and user experience.

Education and Experience Profile

• Associates or Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Graphic Design and / or Multimedia
• 2-4 years relevant experience graphic and web / digital design
• Experience working in groups
• Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Programs
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Digital distribution tools (BazaarVoice, Sitecore, etc )
• CSS, HTML knowledge (preferred but not required)
• Responsive and Mobile design practices
• CMS knowledge

Required Skills

• Excellent graphic and interactive skills with attention to detail.
• Exceptional talent and working experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver.
• Strong presentation development skills in layout and typography
• Fluency in type, information design, and web design trends.
• Ability to thrive under challenging deadlines.
• Basic working knowledge of HTML / CSS coding.
• Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills.
• Understanding and working knowledge of photography and video and how to apply those to the web.
• Strong ability to work both independently and cooperatively.
• Self-motivated to stay informed and up-to-date on current / future digital trends
