Job descriptionPrepare, fit, and weld materials into precision tooling and fixtures Fabricate directly from blueprints and job travelers Select the appropriate welding method and perform set-ups for production Grind, prep, and finish for accurate fit-up and dimensional compliance Measure with tape and other devices to verify accuracy Support the team with additional duties as assigned Minimum 5 years' Welder / Fabricator experience in Aerospace Proficiency with geometric dimensioning / tolerancing concepts Demonstrated capability with AWS D1.1, D1.2, and D17.1 for aircraft tooling Blueprint literacy; solid math plus clear written and verbal communication Strong organization, follow-through, and schedule awareness Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS91000 is preferred High School Diploma or equivalent Troubleshooting Skills Welding Setups for Production Blueprint Reading Job Type : Full-time Pay : $18.00 – $25.00 per hour Shift : Day shift Work Location : In person Health insurance with $0 employee contribution plan (HMO) is available Vision and dental insurance benefits Life, Accident, & Disability insurance benefits are 100% paid for by company HSA (Health Savings Plan) with a large employer contribution 401(k) Plan with Match Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off after eligibility Weekly pay and overtime when required 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance

Smith Brothers Tool Company (est. 1981) is a full-capability machining, weld-fabrication, and tooling organization with in‑house design, engineering, build, and certification. We deliver assembly tools, lay‑up tools, checking tools (large and small), and mill fixtures for Aerospace, Defense, and Automotive programs.
