Responsibilities Work in a 52-bed Neuro Rehab unit within an acute hospital setting Serves a 90% neurological patient population, including traumatic brain injury, brain tumor resection, CVA, and organ transplant cases RN to patient ratio is 1 : 6 with 2 charge RNs with light assignments based on census 12-hour night shifts with four weekend shifts per 4-week period and rotation for 2 of 4 major holidays Floating required to any Med Surg unit within the hospital Cerner is the EMR system used No telemetry or ventilator management required Patients receive interdisciplinary therapy 5 out of 7 days, 3 hours per day Responsibilities include IV therapy, wound care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team Requires high-level communication and personal involvement with patients and families Orientation includes floor-specific training and simulation assessments on day one Men must be clean-shaven for fit tests and all staff must have natural hair color with no facial piercings Scrub color required is slate grey Must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year Two professional references required, including one supervisor reference from the past 12 months First-time travelers may be considered Requirements Active AZ or compact RN license required at time of consideration Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience Must have previous Level 1 Trauma experience Strong Med Surg experience required; rehab experience preferred Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance with two attempts allowed Must pass a sterile technique simulation lab on Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes on the first day of orientation Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as verified by driver's license Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627172.
