Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med / Surg Tele Float Pool position requiring a CO or compact RN license and night shift availability.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Float pool position covering Med / Surg and Tele units within a hospital setting
  • No designated home unit; float assignments may be at any Centura facility within a 60-mile radius of the base city center
  • Care for adult patients with a range of medical and telemetry needs
  • Uses EPIC EMR system for charting
  • 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week
  • Float assignments and unit duties may change on a schedule-by-schedule basis
  • Responsible for comprehensive patient assessments and care planning in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Performs IVs, incision and wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection
  • Actively participates in patient education and advocates for patient needs
  • Expected to delegate appropriately, mentor new staff, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season unless medical exemption is provided (no religious exemptions allowed)
  • Professional dress code and conduct are expected at all times

  • Active CO or compact RN license required
  • American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications in hand at time of consideration
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of one year RN experience preferred, particularly in Med / Surg / Tele
  • Ability to float to multiple units and adapt to varying unit requirements
  • Must reside more than 60 miles from all assigned locations in the float zone; locals not eligible as travelers
