Job description

Position Overview :

We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Retention and Growth Lead to own and optimize the customer lifecycle. This role will focus on driving user engagement, maximizing customer lifetime value, and reducing churn through targeted initiatives. You'll partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, Data, and Customer Success to identify opportunities for growth and design scalable retention programs.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Retention Strategy : Develop and execute retention strategies that increase user engagement, reduce churn, and improve customer lifetime value.
  • Lifecycle Campaigns : Design and manage lifecycle marketing programs (email, in-app messaging, SMS, etc.) across onboarding, activation, engagement, and reactivation stages.
  • Customer Insights : Leverage customer segmentation, behavioral data, and feedback to understand pain points and optimize the user journey.
  • Data & Analytics : Define KPIs, monitor performance, and use A / B testing and cohort analysis to inform decisions and iterate quickly.
  • Growth Experiments : Identify and run experiments to improve activation rates, conversion, and upsell / cross-sell opportunities.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to align messaging and initiatives across the funnel.
  • Churn Analysis : Analyze churn patterns, conduct exit surveys / interviews, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Customer Advocacy : Develop programs that turn satisfied customers into advocates, such as referral programs and user testimonials.

Qualifications :

  • 4+ years experience in growth, lifecycle marketing, customer success, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using tools like Excel, SQL, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar.
  • Proven experience designing and optimizing retention strategies and lifecycle campaigns.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g., Braze, HubSpot, Iterable, Customer.io).
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Creative thinker with a test-and-learn mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
