Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a WA or compact RN license and experience with Epic EMR.
Responsibilities
Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a short-term acute care Level II Trauma CenterPatient population exceeds 300 facility births per month and includes vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&Cs, postpartum tubal ligation, inductions, and water birthsResponsibilities include triage, fetal surveillance, IV hydration, cerclage placement / removal, and maternal opioid conversion to suboxone32-bed Labor & Delivery unit with night shifts (4x12, 19 : 00–7 : 30)Floating within scope to meet facility needs may be requiredUses Epic for charting and OBIX / Stork for fetal monitoringOrientation is held bi-weekly on MondaysMain responsibilities include care for laboring, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, as well as fetal surveillance and triageScrubs are provided by the facilityFree parking available in the employee lotReturn travelers must be separated from the health system by at least one yearRTO must be presented and approved prior to signing; no RTO changes after signing will be approvedHoliday coverage may be required depending on unit needsApplicants with more than one DUI will not be consideredRequirements
Active WA or compact RN license required; applicants may be accepted with proof of license applicationMinimum of 2 years L&D experience or 1 year with Mother / Baby experienceEpic EMR experience requiredAbility to start and maintain peripheral IVsExperience with OBIX / Stork fetal monitoring strongly preferredMust be fully vaccinated against COVID-19Will consider first-time travelers; previous travel experience on 2 assignments preferredCandidates must not have been employed by the health system in the past yearNot accepting candidates residing within 60 miles of the facilityBenefits
