Health & Safety Consultant – Harrisburg, PA

Salary : $58,000 – $65,000 + full benefits & excellent PTO

Location : Harrisburg, PA (hybrid after initial period)

We’re hiring a Health & Safety Consultant to support the Department of General Services (DGS) in advancing statewide workplace safety initiatives. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by shaping a culture of safety across Pennsylvania’s workforce.

What You’ll Do

Deliver engaging health & safety training programs, both in-person and virtually.
Conduct Accident & Illness Prevention Program (AIPP) reviews, audits, and compliance checks.
Analyze injury and safety data to identify trends, recommend corrective actions, and track results.
Support injury / illness prevention, industrial hygiene, and overall safety compliance.
Build strong relationships with employees and leadership to strengthen organizational safety culture.
Provide on-site safety support with occasional travel to worksites as needed.

What You’ll Bring

AIPP certification , or at least 2 years of occupational safety experience with active progress toward certification.

Strong knowledge of safety regulations, compliance standards, and risk prevention.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to adapt, work independently, and communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
