The Opportunity : As a Lead Software Engineer for Web Services, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of email through cutting-edge technologies such as JMAP. You'll tackle complex technical challenges, influence product direction, and drive innovation in our web services.
Your Role :
- Lead major technical projects by defining scope, planning, and prioritizing features collaboratively.
- Influence the product vision by advocating for user requirements and contributing to long-term development roadmaps.
- Ensure quality and reliability through strategic design, rigorous testing, and thorough code reviews.
- Design, build, and maintain services using Python and Typescript while optimizing email delivery systems.
- Collaborate effectively with design and engineering teams across the globe.
- Support service stability by participating in a shared on-call rotation.
Your Qualifications :
7+ years in software engineering with expertise in web infrastructure and service architecture.2+ years of experience in email development, focusing on service maintenance and email deliverability concepts (DMARC, DKIM, SPF).5+ years building and maintaining web services across the technology stack.2+ years of hands-on experience with Python 3.Demonstrated ability to manage features from conception to delivery and support.Exceptional communication and documentation skills, capable of collaborating with a distributed, multidisciplinary team.Experience working remotely and asynchronously across different time zones.Commitment to open-source development and appreciation for diverse perspectives.Bonus Points :
Familiarity with Keycloak or OIDC services.Experience with Rust or Java.Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Kubernetes or Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.Previous contributions to open-source projects are a plus.Work Environment : Join a passionate team that values open-source community engagement.
