Accounting Supervisor

Responsibilities Include :

• Manage the accounting team effectively and ensure maximum use of capacity
• Appropriately, productivity and efficiency ensure targets are met.
• Provide training and development to the team in line with organizational goals and objectives.
• Review for technical and quality purposes. Provide feedback and support to team where applicable.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations, accurate reporting, and data verification, verify accuracy of data, and report, identify, and correct errors made by both internal and external personnel
• Make recommendations to clients aligned with company objectives
• Monitor policies and procedures and suggest improvements for accounting reporting and recording procedures
• Comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation, and maintaining compliance
• Continue ongoing education by participating in webinars, workshops, and networking events
• Support timely monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall
• maintenance of all assigned client’s operational management accounts
• Provide schedules and commentary with respect to operating maintenance accounts results and variances, and with the production of working capital, cash-flow reports, as well as applicable commentary
• Maintain and update records and reports for profit and loss, taxes, liabilities, and assets
• Prepare special financial reports for clients by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients by understanding focus and needs, and anticipating them in advance
• Coordinate internal and external resources to manage and expedite workflow
• Manage communication between upper management and team in office, remote or virtual
• Stay current with company offerings and industry trends
• Oversee and achieve organizational goals while upholding best practices
• Support and solve problems for clients by understanding and exceeding their expectations
• Illustrate the value of products and services to create growth opportunities; compile and analyze data to identify trends
• Participate in brainstorming, office activities, team meetings and client meetings, researching and assisting with program development for existing clients and new prospects
• Perform prospecting activities as directed by management
• Follow up with clients regularly to ensure needs are being met and identify opportunities.
• Maintain a database of clients, prospects, partners, and vendors
• Ensure all financial records comply with internal policies.
