Requirements & Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials

4–6 years of experience at a top national law firm

Background in cybersecurity, privacy, regulatory defense, or complex litigation

Strong technical acumen or interest in information security, data governance, or AI technologies

Admission to practice in Texas (or eligibility for waiver)

Excellent writing, research, and client communication skills

Must Haves

Advise clients during cybersecurity incidents, including forensic coordination, containment, notification, and regulator engagement

Represent clients in enforcement actions by the FTC, SEC, DOJ, HHS OCR, and state Attorneys General

Counsel on compliance with state, federal, and international cybersecurity / privacy laws

Lead tabletop exercises and crisis management simulations

Develop and test incident response plans aligned with NIST, ISO, and CIS standards

Draft and negotiate cybersecurity vendor and data protection agreements

Preferred Background & Skills

Experience coordinating cyber incident response and working with forensic teams

Familiarity with cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)

Exposure to AI, data governance, or digital transformation risk
