Requirements & Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials4–6 years of experience at a top national law firmBackground in cybersecurity, privacy, regulatory defense, or complex litigationStrong technical acumen or interest in information security, data governance, or AI technologiesAdmission to practice in Texas (or eligibility for waiver)Excellent writing, research, and client communication skillsMust Haves
Advise clients during cybersecurity incidents, including forensic coordination, containment, notification, and regulator engagementRepresent clients in enforcement actions by the FTC, SEC, DOJ, HHS OCR, and state Attorneys GeneralCounsel on compliance with state, federal, and international cybersecurity / privacy lawsLead tabletop exercises and crisis management simulationsDevelop and test incident response plans aligned with NIST, ISO, and CIS standardsDraft and negotiate cybersecurity vendor and data protection agreementsPreferred Background & Skills
Experience coordinating cyber incident response and working with forensic teamsFamiliarity with cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)Exposure to AI, data governance, or digital transformation risk
