State Licensed Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Coding & Charging Specialist (Full Time) Days.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze medical records to assign diagnoses, procedures, and charge codes

Ensure compliance with ethical coding standards and official coding guidelines

Collaborate with clinical co-workers on facility and professional coding and charging responsibilities

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

A.S. from an accredited Nursing or Health Information Management program or equivalent clinical experience

At least 6 years of coding and / or charging experience in ICD-10-CM / PCS and / or HCPCS / CPT coding

Certification as RN, RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, CPC-H, or CIRCC required within 6 months if not already certified

Advanced knowledge of ICD-10 CM / PCS and / or CPT / HCPCS coding systems and facility department charging

Preferred : B.S. in Nursing or Health Information Management and 8+ years of relevant experience
