Director of Radiology

Director, Diagnostic Imaging located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA

Reporting to the Associate Administrator this position is responsible for all administrative management activities in the Diagnostic Imaging department including Radiology with special attention to the technical aspects of radiological safety and quality control.

Recommends equipment modification or introduction of new equipment. Coordinates with medical staff to assure that procedures are carried out consistent with instructions by physicians.

Works closely with Medical Director to meet department needs. Directs Diagnostic Imaging personnel.

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital.

Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center.

The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus.

Essential Knowledge / Skills

• Bachelor of Science degree or 5 years’ experience required.
• Valid Certificate as a California Certified Radiologist Technologist (CRT) and a California Flouro license required.
• Valid certificate from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) preferred.
• Current BLS (CPR) required.
• Two years supervisory experience and five years’ experience in the field of Diagnostic Radiology preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of regulations directly impacting imaging services.
• I.V. Certification for contrast injections preferred.
